Methodology

How Perfume Atlas evaluates fragrances

Data sources: official brand note lists, retailer data (sizes/prices), and aggregated community feedback.
What we compare:
– Note pyramids (top/mid/base)
– Longevity (typical hours on skin; ranges, not guarantees)
– Projection (approximate sillage)
– Price per ml (normalized where possible)
– Season & use cases (office, date night, heat/cold)

Scoring: simple 1–5 scales for longevity and projection so pages are comparable.
Neutrality & subjectivity: scent is subjective; our goal is neutral, practical summaries.
Updates: popular pages are refreshed periodically for price changes and better alternatives.
